Application Procedure

Becoming a SSCD member is a two-step process:

1. Complete this application form on line. You will have the opportunity to creat a username and password. Membership dues* will be collected at the time of application. The membership fee per calendar year is $100 for physicians and scientist-researchers, and $50 for all others except for interns, trainees and emeritus professionals, for whom there is no charge. Please note that this does not constitute an approved membership.

2. The SSCD Executive Council reviews and approves applications monthly.  You will receive a notification of status after your application has been reviewed.  *Please note: If your application is not approved, you will receive a full refund of your dues payment.

Election of New Members

All new members must be approved by two-thirds (2/3) of the eligible voters represented in person or by proxy at a duly-constituted meeting of the Executive Council. The Executive Council will evaluate each application and vote on the application in conformity with SSCD membership criteria.

Termination of Membership

Membership will be terminated upon the withdrawal, death or permanent incapacity of a member; the failure of the member to pay the annual membership fee within a reasonable period (as established by the Executive Council); or for adverse cause upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of a quorum of a duly-constituted meeting of the Executive Council.
